Chairman, Tony Mason
Tony Mason is a retired RAF Officer and Professor at the University of Birmingham
who has lived in Pittville for eighteen years. As President of the Cheltenham Branch
of the Royal Air Forces Association he initiated and organised the restoration of
the bandstand in Pittville Park in 1995.
Secretary, Ron Pattinson
Former RAF Officer and airline management pilot. Ron was part of a team which started a new
and very successful airline in Hong Kong in 1985. He retired in 2002 as the senior
manager responsible for Pilot Training, Flying and Safety Standards, including Cabin
Crew.
Treasurer, Paul Weston
Paul has lived on the edge of Pittville Park for 20 years. He retired from banking,
in Gloucestershire, in 2002 and is now involved in the Gloucestershire Registration
Service on a part-time basis.
County Councillor, Dave Prince
Dave Prince is Sales Manager at a local engineering company. He represented
the Pittville Ward at Cheltenham Borough Council for fourteen years until May, when he withdrew from the Borough Council. He
played a leading role in the formation of “The Friends of Pittville”.
Ward Councillor, Diane Hibbert
Diane has lived in Cheltenham for 35 years. She is a school bursar at a local school
and represents the Pittville Area on Cheltenham Borough Council and Gloucestershire
County Council.
Ward Councillor, Tim Cooper
Along with his brothers, he set up a local company running sales, marketing and promotions. He has further business interests in sports travel and property development businesses. Tim is a keen cyclist and footballer, and is secretary of Charlton Rovers FC.
Parkwatch Member, Desmond Fitzgerald
Desmond has lived in the Pittville area for more than 30 years. He set up and co-ordinates
the local Neighbourhood Watch (NhW) and introduced a Park Watch Scheme for Pittville
Park.

Anne Roberts
Anne has lived in Pittville for 35 years and attended Pate's Grammar School in Albert
Road. She is also involved in the co-ordination of her local NhW.
Arran Stibbe
Arran is a senior lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire. His research interests
include ecolinguistics and the introduction of Education for Sustainability across
the curriculum in higher education. He is particularly interested in encouraging
student and community involvement in the task of helping Cheltenham become a model
of a socially cohesive, green, sustainable town.
Colin Eynon
Colin is a retired senior Gloucestershire Police Officer who has lived in Pittville
for 30years. He is a past Chairman of Pates (Girls) PTA and a past tribunal chairman
dealing with NHS complaints. He is a member of PARA and Parkwatch and his Interests
are Rotary Charities, the community and the protection of the environment.
Fiona Clarke
A relative newcomer, Fiona moved to Cheltenham from Manchester in April 2006. She
worked for the British Council in UK and overseas as an education and information
specialist and senior manager for many years.
Judy Langhorn
Judy has lived in the Pittville area for 44 years during which time Pittville Park
has been an appreciated amenity for her family. She was a Head of Department at
The Cheltenham Ladies’ College, where she taught for 14 years. She regularly brought
students to The Pump Room Museum, now closed. She is a keen environmentalist
Roger Turner
Roger is an architect and garden designer, and has created gardens at Chelsea and
at Garden Festival Wales. He is the author four books including one called 'Capability
Brown and the Eighteenth Century English Landscape', which is particularly relevant
to Pittville.
